Situated at a height of 12400 Ft / 3780 Mts / 43 Kms in 03 Hrs one way, with an average depth of 50 ft. Back to Gangtok by evening and Overnight at Hotel. Also visit the important trade route of Nathula Pass. Located around 56 kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 14450 ft, the road to Nathula passes through the Tsomgo Lake. It is one of the highest motorable roads in the world and surrounded by alpine flora. Currenly, it is only domestic tourists that are allowed to go close to the international border from where you can see and extend your handshake with Chinese soldiers on the other side. Return to Gangtok. Spend the evening in Gangtok for some recreational activities such as shopping and a delicious local dinner. SITES VISITED: Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass. Overnight in Gangtok. Vehicle Regulation Notice for Nathula Pass:- Due to recent regulations by the Indian Army, small vehicles are no longer permitted to access Nathula Pass approximately 8.5 km (20 minutes) away. Consequently, guests arriving in smaller cars will be grouped into larger, government-approved vehicles for the journey. These vehicles will take visitors to Nathula Pass, where they can enjoy their visit. Things To Pack
- Good quality rucksack (preferably 40-60 liters) & a small day bag pack (for hikes/treks purpose) with rain-cover is recommended, easy to carry trolley bag.
- A pair of shoes (mainly trekking/sports) with good grip & waterproof, at least 2 pair of socks & floaters/sandals/slippers.
- Heavy down jacket, light fleece, long track/cargo pants, long/short sleeves T-shirts, body thermal wears (as per season), sun cap/hat, woolen cap & gloves (as per season), hoodie, raincoats/ponchos.
- Personal care items like cold cream & moisturiser, sunscreen (preferably SPF40), lip balm, sanitary pads, toothpaste & other toiletries, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, insect repellent, body spray.
- Personal medication (as prescribed by the doctor) & first-aid, sprain relief spray, glucose powder, tablets for headache, fever, diarrhea, motion sickness, dettol & cotton/bandages.
